I’m excited and happy to be teaching in the
Career and Technical Education Academy this year. I’ve been teaching for over 10 years. Being a teacher holds a very
special meaning to me because I’m a graduate of Collier County Public Schools. As a matter of fact, all of my siblings,
most of my cousins, and my oldest child, graduated from this school system. At this time, my youngest child is a sophomore
in Collier County Public Schools. Education has always been very important in my family. Neither of my parents was afforded
the opportunity to attend school beyond the 8th grade, so they made sure all of us graduated from school. We not only graduated
from high school, but at least six of my seven siblings have graduated from college and are involved in great careers from
teaching to directors of large organizations. One sibling is close to receiving a PhD in Computer Programming and Technology,
while two other siblings are a year from completing a Master’s degree in Technology. Three of us are teachers in this
school district, and one is a college professor in North Carolina.
Mission Statement
I will provide a nurturing environment where students feel safe and secure as they learn. I will equip students with the necessary skills to succeed in the workplace. I believe
that all students have an abundance of hidden gifts and talents waiting to be exposed. Allie Ross
